2 Weeks In The Life Of My N82!

Well i’ve decided i’d have a bit of a ramble on about the last 2-3 weeks of my new Nokia N82 and how she has performed, or not as the case may be! I have switched from using Sony ericsson handsets after 4 years of solid SE use with a few hiccups but mothing major, the odd switch off every now and again and the odd error message here and there. Working in the industry i have come to know of numerous Nokia handset problems which have put me off over the last few years whilst still admiring the technology they posess.

After days of research and mulling  over the N82 and the Sony Ericsson C902 i opted for the Nokia, after all it’s pretty much an N95-8Gb without the storage space just wearing a different outfit so to speak. the first few days of use were fantastic, i had fun re-discovering the symbian o/s and all the application gems that come with it. I installed various applications to jazz up the phone and it’s capabilities including T-9 Nav and Internet Radio to name but a few (full listing below) i was getting into the swing of things again but then one morning………

Vodafone UK Launch Facebook App

Vodafone have launched a facebook application which you can use to text your mates directly from facebook itself, without the need of your mobile phone. It will soon be able to send MMS messages from the same app, it will come with a complimentary 25 SMS credit initially and further credit can be purchased through pay4it.

The application allows users to send messages not only to their online Facebook friends but also to non-Facebook users and groups. Vodafone Connect to Friends can be used by anyone regardless of their choice of UK mobile operator.

Nokia Tube – Release In October??

You’ve all seen the hype and speculation about nokia’s first touch screen device online and in print all over the world, well we’ve heard it’s coming this year maybe as soon as October but Nokia are remaining tight lipped about the whole affair!

It’s thought that it will be released first in the United Kingdom but not known whether October is the announce date or the release date., i suspect that Nokia will choose to announce it rather than unleash it to the public.
